Goal
Develop a new website for a plumbing business in Laholm.
The client's requests
The client's main request regarding the website's features was to make it easy for customers to contact the company with questions or quote requests. Additional requests included having information about the areas where the company provides services.
Dialog with the client
When the client contacted me, they explained that the company was newly established and wanted to establish a presence in the market. Therefore, the client wanted a professional website that reflects the company's quality of services.
Reference Projects
In the HVAC industry, it's often not enough to tell potential customers about the company's qualifications. Therefore, I suggested to the client that the website should also have pages showcasing reference projects. This way, visitors to the website can see the company's previous work and get an idea of the quality to expect.
My thoughts

Responsive Design.
Responsive design means that a website works and looks equally well regardless of the screen size being used. In other words, if someone is using a mobile device, the website’s features and appearance should be adapted to that device. A visitor shouldn’t have to zoom in or struggle to use the website.

The main focus during the work of making the website responsive was to ensure that the size of images fit well on both large and small screens. Additionally, considerations were made for the placement of texts, whether they should be positioned before or after the images. When it comes to mobile devices, vertical space is crucial, unlike computers. Therefore, it is essential to find a balance with the design, where the content is located, and how much scrolling the visitor needs to do.
To enhance user-friendliness on the mobile version, the traditional menu found on the desktop version was replaced with a ‘hamburger menu’. This means that the menu is displayed after the visitor clicks on a button with three vertical lines. Additionally, some texts and headings were repositioned to accommodate the limited screen space.
The content between the different versions is more or less identical, both in terms of images and text. The only difference might be the order of the content.
